Quantum Technologies is an American technology design and manufacturing company based in Irvine, California. A public company with products which include advanced systems for the Automotive, Aerospace, Energy and Security markets.

One of Quantum's products is the Q-Drive, the 400 hp drive train of the Fisker Karma a PHEV sports car, with a claimed total range of 300 miles (483 km), the first 50 miles (80 km) of which is on tailpipe-emission free electric-only charge. After 50 miles (80 km) a gasoline range-extending engine turns on to add an additional 250 miles (403 km) of range.

Quantum Technologies currently is a share holder in Fisker Coachbuild and Fisker Automotive.

Products

Fuel storage, fuel metering and control systems for automotive OEM applications. Products include ultra-light weight fuel metering and fuel storage systems for aerospace, marine and specialized weight sensitive applications. Integrated systems comprise fuel metering devices and patented Type IV ‘all-composite' high pressure vessels for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Hydrogen (H2).

State-of-the-art clean propulsion technologies including powertrain engineering, system integration, advanced propulsion systems, and energy storage systems for PHEV, hybrid electric, fuel cell, and alternative fuel vehicles.
